The Winchell Riots were a 4-piece from Oxford, UK. Named after a chapter from Philip Roth's The Plot Against America and singing songs based around ocean explorers and space travel, the band released two EP's in 2010 and 2011 before calling time in October 2011.
The band worked with a number of producers including Dan Austin, Sam Williams and Greg Haver, collaborated with DC Comics guru Rian Hughes on the artwork for each release, played the Reading & Leeds Festivals in 2011, received BBC Radio 1 & BBC 6Music exposure, and sold out numerous shows across the UK in the time they were together.
You can buy both EP's from iTunes, as well as pick up their last release in the Shop section.
